Martissa Spencer

Martissa Spencer centers her professional accounting efforts on the thoughtful connection between employee relationships, resident & guardian expectations and accounting functions to support the best-in-class services offered by Summit Supportive Communities.  Her passion isn’t numbers, but people, and how to use quality accounting services as a powerful tool to provide value to people’s lives.  Her skills in accounting, grassroots organizing, team building, and writing find a great fit in the healthcare industry.   Martissa started her accounting career with Coopers and Lybrand after completing both her Bachelor of Science and a Master's Degree of Accountancy and Information Systems at Brigham Young University.

She was the Arthur H. Carter scholarship recipient for her graduate program.  Her previous accounting experience includes clients in the hospitality, retail and high-tech industries.  Martissa lives with her husband, Michael, and their four children in Lakewood Colorado.  When she isn’t creating cool spreadsheets or organizing financial data, Martissa loves travel adventures with her family, hiking to waterfalls, baking bread, reading fanfiction,  or soaking in one of Colorado’s many natural hot springs.
